NATURAL ANTIDEPRESSANTS

NATURAL ANTIDEPRESSANTS

NATURAL ANTIDEPRESSANTS. Clinically Researched.

Depression is one of the most common mental disorders, affecting many millions of people each year. An estimated 1 in 10 adults currently takes a prescription antidepressant. But these antidepressants can have unacceptable side effects and are not right for everyone.

ANTIDEPRESSANT DRUGS ARE ADJUSTABLE

Antidepressants have been largely underrated, and they don’t mix safely with many other medications or even supplements.

ANTIDEPRESSANTS ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE

For example, children, the elderly, pregnant women, and breastfeeding women are not candidates for antidepressants.

CURCUMIN – A NATURAL ANTIDEPRESSANT WITH BRAIN BENEFITS! Natural benefits for physical and mental health.

Curcumin supplements are effective for depression.

The brain also benefits dramatically from curcumin supplements. Curcumin works by increasing serotonin and dopamine levels.

Serotonin is the brain’s primary chemical associated with happiness. Dopamine is the body’s “motivation molecule” and also controls its reward system for pleasure.

Curcumin supplements produced a significant antidepressant response in depressed patients, with a 17-point reduction in the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale.

These findings suggest the potential benefits of further curcumin supplementation in reversing depression and enhancing antidepressant treatment outcomes in major depressive disorder.

FISH OIL. THERE IS A DIRECT LINK BETWEEN OMEGA-3 LEVELS IN THE BODY AND DEPRESSION.

Depression is associated with suboptimal levels of the essential omega-3 fatty acids. ( 21 )

The best dietary sources of omega-3 fats are fatty fish, such as salmon and sardines.

Deficiency in one particular omega-3, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), has been linked to depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.

The quality of brain cells depends on the availability of omega-3s. Another omega-3, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), has been shown to reduce depression.

Animal studies suggest that optimal levels of DHA are necessary for normal brain development, as it has neurotrophic and neuroprotective properties.

Additional evidence from studies suggests that low levels of DHA during perinatal development may lead to long-term impairments in functional connectivity in cortical networks, as well as cognitive impairment, hyperactivity/inattention, and emotional symptoms in children.

If fish is not a regular part of your diet, consider taking a fish oil supplement that contains both DHA and EPA.

If you are taking an antidepressant, consuming fish may make it more effective.
